KUDOS FOR JUDGE ROSS
Family, friends and colleagues witnessed the investiture
of Maurice Anthony Ross, Esquire, as Associate Judge, Superior
Court of the District of Columbia on July 27, 2001. The
event occurred at the Third Floor Atrium of the Court House.
The formal ceremony was followed immediately by a reception
where many supporters gathered to congratulate Judge Ross
and to wish him success in his new appointment.
Previously, Judge Ross served as assistant counsel in the
Office of Professional Responsibility in the Justice Department
and as senior counsel at the Federal Home Loan Mortgage
Corporation. As a young lawyer, Judge Ross served as a prosecutor
at the U.S. Attorney's Office in the District and as an
associate at a private law firm.
Judge Ross is a lifelong resident of the District of Columbia.
After attending St. John's College High School, Judge Ross
received his bachelor's degree from Yale University. He
earned his law degree at Harvard Law School.
