an announcement is always complimentary at BlackSocietyPages.com All submissions
for Engagements and Weddings will be reviewed and edited, if necessary, before
being posted on the Website. To post an Engagement Announcement
In order to facilitate the review and posting of an Engagement Announcement,
please adhere as close as possible to the following guidelines: 1. Be
informative, but be brief (two paragraphs-eight sentences maximum). 2. Provide
the following information, as appropriate: (a) Name(s) of individual(s)
and city or cities of residence of individuals making the
announcement (usually the lady's parents or guardian). (b)
Names of engaged individuals and city or cities of residence.
(c) Name of parents or guardian of the groom.
(d) Educational background and professional employment
of both parties to the engagement. (e)
Date (or approximate date) and city of planned wedding.
(f) Name and Email address of person submitting the
announcement. 3. The text of the announcement should be
written in Microsoft Word. To post a wedding announcement
Please provide the following information as appropriate: (a)
Name(s) of individuals and city or cities of residence of individuals
making the announcement (the bride's parents or guardians;
newly weds or other). (b) Maiden name of bride (other name if
previously married) and name of bridegroom. (c)
Names of parents of the newlyweds. (d) Names of members of the
bridal party (maid of honor, best man, etc)--optional (e)
Date and place of ceremony and name of celebrant. (f)
Place of honeymoon. (g) Future places of employment and
residence. (h) Name and Email address of individual
making the announcement. For announcements with pictures
Please provide them in electronic format, if possible. Identify the principals
and other notable individuals in the picture, as appropriate. If electronic
